A quiet good conduct

ˇ@ˇ@What could a retiring elder do for the helpless in the society?

ˇ@ˇ@An 80 year old Chiang Por Por can be a distinguishing example to many donors with her emphasize ˇ§just do it only if I still could doˇ¨.

ˇ@ˇ@A kindhearted Chiang Por Por couldnˇ¦t do much home visit personally facing of her weakening health situation in recent years but she still shows her caring heart to the poor elders in the society. ˇ§I made knitwear for poor elders at home even I could not go outˇ¨.

ˇ@ˇ@In the beginning of every year, Por Por will buy cotton wool enough for her to do the knitting in a year. ˇ§Except the three hottest monthsˇ¦ in summer, I knit almost everyday for the needyˇ¨.

ˇ@ˇ@ˇ§Elders usually afraid of freezing cold. Nice knitwear can keep their body warm. I think it is worthiness to do soˇ¨. Por Por will do hard on her tasks whenever she is free at home. She wonders what else she can do for the society better than this.

ˇ@ˇ@Since her difficulty in walking, Por Por who wants to keep herself private has kept contributing knitwear for the poor elders in the last more than ten years. The knitwear was delivered to social centers in every December. This year when she knows we have a special team serving the home alone helpless elders, she then called a van herself and sent with all the finished items in the year accompanied by her Pilipino maid. She instructed the knitwear must be sent out asap well ahead of the cold weather is around.

ˇ@ˇ@Por Porˇ¦s quiet good conduct and her spirits deserve our kindest respect.
